This course provides an in-depth exploration of evidence-based design (EBD) and its pivotal role in shaping healthcare environments to enhance patient care, contribute to caregiver effectiveness, and foster overall well-being. Designing with light involves much more than understanding applications and footcandles. This seminar explores the many ways designers think about light as a design medium, describe light to themselves and others, and use light to create engaging environments. It explains how designers use qualities of light, light interacting with architecture and interior design, and lighting concepts. A book signing will follow this one-hour session.
