Umesh is a seasoned executive with a diverse background spanning over two decades in product management, engineering, M&A, and operational excellence across various industry verticals. As a proven strategist with an entrepreneurial mindset, Umesh has consistently delivered award-winning products and business solutions that create clear market value. As SVP of Product and Engineering at MaxLite, he is responsible for defining and executing product strategy, incubating high-growth business ideas and building strategic partnerships to develop multi-tier LED lighting and IoT portfolio. Under his leadership, MaxLite launched the award-winning c-Max Lighting controls, which he has successfully grown into a comprehensive multi-tier controls platform.
Previously, Umesh worked at Amazon developing product and software innovation roadmaps for Amazon Go retail stores. His expertise in the lighting industry was established at Philips Lighting, where he managed a multimillion-dollar downlight and track portfolio for the Americas. His diverse background also includes strategic roles at VantaCore Partners, UBS Investment Bank, Coherent, and Kennametal.
Umesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MS in Manufacturing Engineering, and an MBA from Yale University.
